That’s everything! Sorry I haven’t been very chatty lately, this prolonged heat is getting to me. I’ve just been holed up with shows and beads and salt & vinegar potato chips. There is absolutely nothing for me outside, except for more potato chips… oh, and the post office, which I’m hoping to visit later tonight, thanks to you, my wonderful patrons with excellent taste in glass art. I hope you like the beads, thanks for checking in!

The short version: my next shop update will be Monday July 25th at 7PM Central Time. Subscribers to this blog will be notified via email when it’s happening.

worst picture ever, but you get the gist

You can insert my predictable summer malcontent here. But this year, everyone is at least 10 degrees hotter than normal, and it’s dire. This past week was brutal for me personally, it was 111 on Tuesday. It’s been about 10 years since that happened last. It could have been made worse by our usual humidity, which has been mysteriously absent, mostly. I’ve been working on orders, so there isn’t a ton of beads this time around, but what I do have for you shouldn’t disappoint. I’ve had to resort to starting to work at 3 or 4am rather than midnight so my sleep is all messed up, and the extreme heat makes me just as sluggish as the extreme cold. In the middle of it, I had a dead car battery to address, thanks to the heat, most likely. I haven’t even had the opportunity to take pictures. Waah. I am very determined to have beads available every other week, and since I can’t possibly make it happen Sunday, I’m shooting for Monday. Since I expect something else to go wrong, I may need to push it to Tuesday, but it will be no later than that. I’ve set the time later in the day due to it being on a weekday, so hopefully this will be more accommodating. See you again soon!

Here are the beads! Click here to get right to my shop, or the link below each photo for the individual listings. I hope you’ll forgive my brevity in the descriptions, I had a LOT of beads to cover and time was unusually crunchy. I also apologize for the lack of my usual preview group photo, I know those are probably very helpful, but I made beads until the very last minute and couldn’t swing it.

First things first: new beads will be available Sunday, July 10th 2022, at 5PM Central Time, in my shop. You don’t want to miss this – designs new and old, and for whatever reason, a good amount of pink, green and purple, but that’s not all. Keep an eye on your email for the green light, or better yet, set an alarm on one of your handy smart devices, or if you’re like me, your 1976 GE faux wood clock radio. FYI, I spilled an entire glass of water in said clock radio last year and l didn’t realize it, so it remained plugged in for at least 12 hours. I finally noticed that the numbers looked very wrong, and my first inclination was to ask “am I dreaming?” and then I noticed the puddle. Once I snapped out of my amazement at the lack of sparks and smoke, I unplugged it, disassembled it, cleaned 45 years of dirt from the crevices, and allowed it to dry for about a week. Once I could no longer detect moisture, I said a selfish little prayer and plugged it in. It was fine. I still use it as a coaster, so no lessons were learned. Could a smart phone survive such fancy stunts?

It’s still very hot, and I’m feeling sluggish, so all I have is this teaser:

There are a lot of beads this time, so I have my work cut out for me. I’d better skeedat. Another update will come when the shop is all stocked up. I hope you can make it!
